Matheson Builders

Having grown up in a small village in the west coast of Scotland I started my career in the construction industry in 1988.  I started as a labourer for a small building company, a year and a half later I started my apprenticeship as a bricklayer and attended Inverness college where I was selected to compete in the Scottish bricklaying championships.  Having worked on the west coast for a number of years I decided to move to Inverness with my now wife Mairi.  Employed by a large company for a number of years I asked to go on to "piece work".  Still working for them I employed my first apprentice (who won top bricklayer in Inverness College). From there I started Martin Matheson Builders in 1999 doing more private work and started building my reputation as an honest reliable builder with an eye for design.  In April 2005 I changed the company name to Matheson Builders Ltd and I now employ a team of six full timers who are professional, skilled, hard working and friendly.
